Thuraya Satellite Communications Company (UAE) approved SEC Navigator Technology as a Fleet Management System supplier.

Thuraya Satellite Communications Company, PJS approved Navi-A.S.T.R.A fleet management system (FMS) interfaced with Thuraya satellite network. SEC Navigator Technology has formally become an accredited Thuraya FMS equipment supplier.
The performance and technical implementation of the Control Centre software and the in-vehicle unit UTP-M-20-4.0000 had been tested by Thuraya Engineers at Thuraya Headquarters in the UAE. Based on the test reports the top management of Thuraya Satellite Communications Company has taken the decision to include Navigator Technology in the list of approved and Thuraya-supported equipment suppliers.

Navi-A.S.T.R.A Fleet Management System built around Thuraya is a total mobile solution as it combines both Thuraya satellite network and GSM-900 for telematic data transmissions. It enables real-time tracking, control and wireless data collection in areas not covered with land-based communication systems: at sea, in sparsely populated regions of Siberia, Middle East, Asia and Africa. Thuraya-based solution is the most cost-effective and convenient solution for long-haul transport as the traffic cost is invariable throughout the total footprint of Thuraya satellites and is considerably cheaper than GSM roaming tariffs.
The information about Navigator’s satellite FMS solution, Thuraya satellite communication and network coverage can be found on Thuraya web-site.
